I recently came across an article on The National Pulse entitled, Black Lives Matter and Climate Change Replacing Religion, Establishment Reporter Admits. It's a mouthful of a title but true.

Brian Walsh, Correspondent at Axios, notes that to compensate for the decline in religious affiliation among Americans in general, the social justice and climate change movements are filling the void so to speak.

Part of this, Walsh asserts is a fixation on acquiring complete justice in this life rather than focusing on the afterlife. And the internet has made it easy to fill the "God-shaped hole" with just about anything.

Do you think "Wokism" has become like a religion or a cult?

Tripp Parker, a writer at The Federalist, has this to say from an article from last year about this "New Religion":

So, how is the Woke Left similar to a religion? Well, even without a supernatural element, it has all the trappings of one. It has a core set of beliefs that you cannot question and remain in the tribe with myths that aren’t subjected to normal academic scrutiny (the 1619 Project); it has sacred texts (White Fragility), its idea of original sin (being born white and/or male), rituals (including self-flagellation), symbols, heretics (hello, JK Rowling), and de facto priests and prophets to enlighten and then initiate us into this new religion. All will be shown a new way of viewing everything about the world, and we must adopt this without caveats or questions.

They are expecting schools, businesses, and organizations to "repent" of their oppressive ways and make declarative statements and actions demonstrating their support for BLM, Climate Change, the LGBTQ community, and other things to reach the "Woke" human, oppressed, "deities" at the peak of their "mountain".

Once they get to the "holy" place at the top, they can only hope that their sacrifices and actions will be acceptable to these "deities".

If not they are shamed, ruined, and attacked. They're knocked back down the "mountain" and must try again.

That is if they're deemed worthy enough to even attempt.

Then there's the "kings" and "priests" that must prepare the people to ascend these mountains and act as a shining example. These are actors, politicians, journalists, athletes, activists, business leaders, etc.

And some of them are getting quite wealthy off it. Like one of the BLM co-founders who recently bought a 1.4 million dollar house.

With this in mind. Let me give you something to ponder for a moment.

If you were to ask someone, "Do you consider yourself to be a good person?" Most people would probably respond without skipping a beat with a "yes".

Even those who claim to be Christians.

Even myself if I'm not paying attention.

How does one consider himself to be good in a world where what is good and evil seems to be constantly in flux?

How can someone go with the crowd one day and be "good" and be "bad" the next by continuing with that same crowd?

In this new religion and most religions except one, what you do is innately tied to who you are.

What you do determines how or even if you can connect with the divine. And those that do can declare themselves to be righteous in the eyes of man and "gods"

This frenzy leads only to exhaustion, emptiness, and despair as the minute you fall off the "mountain" you are declared unclean, unworthy, and unlovable.

The issue, my friends, is the heart.

The heart is more deceitful than anything else and incurable, who can understand it?
-Jeremiah 17:9 HCSB

The one true God, the God who wrote eternity in the hearts of men is the only one who can fill the void in the hearts of men that religion has failed to do.

Yet that same God promises:

And I will give them one heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh, so they may follow My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.

- Ezekiel 11:19-20 HCSB

And He does that through the sacrifice of Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit!

God is the only one who offers us atonement for our sins through His son Jesus as the ONLY way to reunite us with Himself.

One day we will have true justice and peace on this earth. One day God will destroy this earth and create new heavens and a new earth where righteousness will truly dwell!

There will be no more sickness, death, hatred, violence, suffering, sorrow, pain, or sin.

And the redeemed will enjoy full, unhindered fellowship with the Creator forever and ever!

As I said before, we don't need to reach up to God at all. He has already come down to us.

We just need to take His outstretched hand.

See y'all next week! Hope you enjoyed this series!
